He faces ghosts, ancient monsters, and even an evil substitute teacher, but unless he can confront his past, and the trauma that lies there, he might not manage to save the people he cares about.He might not even survive himself.This book had a steep learning curve for me, and I'm really happy with how it ends. It's different from the first two books; there's less mystery (although don't worry--there's still plenty of mystery) and more of a focus on how Vie is going to solve a difficult problem (or maybe a few difficult problems).The Dust Feast wraps up the story arc that began in Mr. Big Empty--although I'm not going to tell you *how* it wraps up that story arc. It also begins a new story arc, one with a new villain and new challenges. Vie will learn about the Other Side; he will learn why there are so many people with psychic abilities in Vehpese; and he will learn who has been orchestrating events--including his own life--for a very long time.I'm not sure when the next book will come out for Hollow Folk. I'm satisfied with the resolution to the story arc I began in Mr. Big Empty, and although I'm excited to tell more of Vie's story, I'm going to work on some other projects first.I'm hoping that I'll have a new series for you this summer; I'm very excited about this one, and I'll give some teasers and sneak previews in the months ahead.Thanks for all your support and excitement!
