The Clockwork Heart

I just posted a short story, "The Clockwork Heart," for sale at Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and Smashwords.

Here's the cover:

And here's the back copy:

On the battlefields of France at the height of the Second World War, sœur Salomé struggles to save the American soldiers who have come to fight for her homeland. The German forces press ever closer, though, and Salomé can help only a very few of the men who need her.

When David Webber crosses her path, Salomé finds herself drawn towards the handsome, young soldier in spite of her vows. David Webber, she realizes, may hold the key to winning the war. And, too, the key to her heart.

But David Webber is hunted by something just as dangerous as he, and after David is injured, it falls to Salomé to ensure that he survives.

This is another piece I've been wanting to share with you for a while, and I hope you'll enjoy it!

Mr. Big Empty!

Well, things keep lining up and working out faster than I expect, so here's some more good news:

Mr. Big Empty is up for sale. And, for the first time, it's up at *3* places right out of the gate: Amazon, B&N, and Smashwords.

Here's the cover:

And here's the blurb on the back:

Vie Eliot arrives in the small town of Vehpese, Wyoming with little more than the clothes--and scars--on his back. Determined to make a new life for himself after escaping his abusive mother, he finds that living with his estranged father brings its own problems.

Then Samantha Oates, the girl with blue hair, goes missing, and Vie might be the only one who can find her. His ability to read emotions and gain insight into other people’s darkest secrets makes him the perfect investigator, with only one small problem: he wants nothing to do with his gift.

When the killer begins contacting Vie through a series of strange cards, though, Vie is forced to hone his ability, because Samantha was not the killer’s only target.

And, as Vie learns, he is not the only psychic in town.

I love this book; I'm so excited I have a chance to share it with you. It's the first book in a series of three, and I'm well underway with the second.

Hope you enjoy!

The Brittened Crown and The River Throne

Hi, guys,

More good news: thanks to a stroke of good luck, I was able to get both The Brittened Crown and The River Throne up for sale at Amazon and Smashwords. These two books complete the Witte & Co. Investigations series. I'm really excited that I get to share these with you; I love these books, and as they say, better late than never.

Here's The Brittened Crown:

And here's The River Throne:

As always, these should trickle down to other websites over the next week or two. I appreciate all of you for reading these stories, and I hope you enjoy them.

The next series I have for you is a paranormal mystery set in a small town in Wyoming. The title is Mr. Big Empty, and it should be finished in the next couple weeks. I also have a few short stories and novellas that I'm looking forward to sharing with you as well.

Warm wishes!

I'm back: The Drowning Mask and Teratozoology 101

Wow! I can't believe it's been almost two years since I posted here. First of all, I'm very sorry for the silence. Over the last couple years, I've had a lot going on in my life, and that meant I wasn't able to keep everything going. I had to make some hard choices about where and how to use my time.

On the one hand, that meant I wasn't posting to this blog and keeping you updated. On the other hand, I kept writing! So over the next few weeks, you should see some good stuff being posted.

For starters, I put the next book in Witte & Co. Investigations up for sale at Amazon and Smashwords. It should trickle down to Kobo, B&N, etc., over the next few weeks.

This book is called The Drowning Mask (edit: link), and here's the cover:

It picks up right after the end of The Weeping Lore (which ends on quite a cliffhanger!) and continues to follow Irene, Cian, Harry, Pearl, Freddy, and the others!

Another story I've posted is called Teratozoology 101. This is a novella (meaning, it's shorter than a novel but longer than a short story) that's set in a small, Midwestern town (sound familiar?). It's about an adjunct professor, his hot student who's going to cause him a lot of trouble, and monsters. Here's the cover:

This story is up at Amazon and Smashwords and should, over the next few weeks, show up at other ebook sites.

The last bit of news: I've got books three and four of Witte & Co. Investigations written. They just need to be formatted and uploaded, so I hope that will happen quickly.

I've also got a brand new series that I'm so excited to share with you. It's a paranormal mystery set in Wyoming.

All of this will be coming your way soon. Thanks for your patience and your continued support!
