Ebb started

I just wanted to let you know that I started drafting Ebb today. The plotting process took me longer than I expected, and I came up with some unanticipated twists. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, though, and it felt so good to start writing today. I think I've mentioned before that Ebb has both Joaquim and Adence back, as well as a third character (whom you've heard of, but not met). I'm so excited for you to meet her, though. I think she might be my favorite.

I'm also still working on the revisions for Grieved, and once those are finished, I'll start on revising Wounds. When they're both ready, I'll put them up for sale--I'm guessing the end of September, at this point, but if I get some extra time I might have them up earlier.

Crimson League Giveaway Reminder

Just a reminder that tomorrow and Thursday, my friend Victoria's book The Crimson League will be available for free for Kindle. This link should work, but if not, go to Amazon and search 'crimson league' and you should find it.

Disclaimers, again: she's a personal friend, so if you're thinking about buying the book, you should read the free sample first and see if it's to your liking. Of course, since the whole book will be free, I'm not sure getting the sample is necessary in this case. But I just want to be up-front about everything.

Started plotting Ebb yesterday, worked on it some more today. I'm so excited about this book, I can't wait to finish plotting and start writing.

Wounds finished

I just finished Wounds. I'm really, really happy with how it turned out. Granted, it still needs to be revised.

But this means that Monday I start Ebb!

The Crimson League Giveaway

I just wanted to let you know that one of my friends is giving away Kindle copies of her novel next week (Aug. 8 and 9). The book, The Crimson League, will be free on Amazon both days.

If I did this right, this link should take you to the appropriate Amazon page. Remember, this is for next week. I'll try to remember to post again when the giveaway begins.

In the interest of full disclosure, this is a personal friend. But since the book will be free, I don't have any qualms about suggesting that you download the book and check it out. Victoria (the author) has some great stuff, so I think it's worth your time. Oh, it's a YA book, so keep that in mind.

On another note, I'm almost done with Wounds; I think I'll finish the rough draft tomorrow. That means that (and I'm very excited about this) next Monday I'll start the project code-named Ebb. Ebb will be the final book in The Rim and the Shore trilogy, and I've got some *great* stuff planned for it. I think it will be an awesome ending to the trilogy. Plus, I'm excited to be writing the last book of the first trilogy I started--it's a cool experience. I'm not sure how I'll feel when I put the finishing touches on Ebb and it goes up for sale (it's a long ways off, of course), but I feel excited to be finishing a multi-year project.
