Good news! The rough draft of Wanton is finished. I'm so thrilled. I'm also about two weeks behind where I had hoped to be (I thought I would be done at the end of March), but I think it was worth the extra time--I was working consistently, so the delay was a matter of writing *more.* The rough draft is a bit over 180k words, so it's around the same length as The Dew of Flesh (perhaps a bit longer).
My hopes are to edit and revise over the next month and a half and have Wanton done by the beginning of June. Tomorrow I start writing a short story to bridge The Dew of Flesh and Wanton; I don't have a code-name for this story yet, but it's all plotted out, and shouldn't take me more than a week or so to write. After I finish the short story, I'll be writing the next book in the Sophistries of June series.
So, basically there's a ton of writing to be done, but at least Wanton is finished. Here's hoping you guys love it as much as I do!
